Do you work for private clients as well as contractors?

Yes. We install water and sewer connections, EV charging point bases and ducting, and carry out groundworks for homes and businesses.

Civils for Utilities, Highways & District Heating

Our Civils division delivers the groundworks behind utility, highway and heat network schemes – deep excavations, temporary works, chambers, crossings and reinstatement – for main contractors, utilities and private clients.

Civils deep pipe installations

At Heartland Pipelines, our Civils division supports utility, pipeline and district heating projects with safe, well-planned groundworks. Our sites are run by SMSTS-qualified site managers, and appointed Temporary Works Coordinators plan and check every excavation support scheme in line with BS 5975.

We manage the highway side for you. We plan works in with the highway authority, raise street works permits (and Section 50 licences where required), arrange traffic management through our sister company NTR Plant Services and reinstate to the SROH – so one supplier covers the whole job.

We work closely with clients through Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), providing essential preparatory works such as trial holes, boreholes, soil sampling, concrete slab installation and temporary roads, together with the removal of arisings. Our team of Appointed Persons plans lifting operations, and our on-site engineers oversee every stage to the project specification.

We also deliver water, sewer and EV charging point civils for private individuals and businesses, working carefully to prevent ground contamination and protect the surrounding environment.
